May, 1999
Little Sahara State Park, Waynoka, Oklahoma.
Flight 401
I started out running Kenda "The Trakker" sand "V type" paddles. 20x12x9... I think they were a little too small for the machine. They did not perform as well as my Maxxis All Traks, which I switched to for the last two days of our adventure.

Go for a Dip?
Northwestern Oklahoma had over 20" of rain already this year. The park was flooded! It made for some very interesting riding.

The landings
I was repeatedly bottoming my shocks on this landing. I paced it off and from liftoff to touchdown was 18 paces. (18x3 foot = approximately 54 feet) The apex was approximately 5 foot 6 inches.

Wheeeee
This is a shot of the same jump from farther back. I am hitting the take-off in 4th gear!

APEX
Near the Apex of the jump.

Same $#@%, different day...
Actually, I only ALMOST did an endo one time! The scabs are almost gone and the steering stem is straight now... :-) Sorry, no picture...

Help?!?
Toni did pretty well with her Turf Tamers... Gotta get her a set of paddles tho!
|
Glub Glub
Toni's first try at a Little Sahara water crossing. Her dad had to pull here out with his Arctic Cat Bearcat 454 4x4, but the next time she made it no problem!

Here she goes again.
The infamous Toni Donut.
|
No Stopping!
Well, Ok, maybe for a minute or two!
|
Show off!
Next year she will be doing this in 4th gear! :-)
|
Thats the LIMIT!
Toni's Dad, Anton, is a ME TOO kinda guy. For some reason her mom wanted off the machine before he tried this. Strange... Kinda looks like fun!
